Dr. Brittany Flood, Periodontist

Dr. Flood is originally from Rothesay and is so thrilled to be home! She graduated from Dalhousie University with a Masters of Dentistry in Periodontics in the Spring of 2017. As a board certified Periodontist, Dr. Flood concentrates on management of hard and soft tissues surrounding the teeth and performs surgical procedures such as crown lengthening, soft tissue grafts, bone grafts, implant placement and biopsies.

Brittany graduated with distinction from McGill University’s dental program in 2013. At her graduation she was the recipient of the Marvin and Mandy Werbitt Award in Dentistry, the 3M ESPE Clinical Award, the Canadian Academy of Periodontology Book Prize and the Dr. Morton & Dr. Jonathan Lang Prize in Dentistry. While in dental school, she participated on multiple sports teams, practiced her French, and discovered that her heart lay in the field of periodontology and implantology. Brittany’s passion for this field developed due to her love of helping people, both to maintain their natural smiles for as long as possible and to offer them the best replacement options when needed. Following graduation, Brittany attended the University of Connecticut for one year where she received a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. During that year, Brittany focused her training on extractions, implant placement and periodontal surgeries. Brittany has been working at a multidisciplinary dental specialist group in Halifax for five years and could not be happier to be home in Rothesay. She brought with her a fantastic husband, Daniel, and has two beautiful daughters and a golden doodle.
